Our Beers

Our beer selection features 16 taps of ales and lagers for every palate, with a rotation of seasonal and specialty beers, along with barrel-aged imperial stouts, barleywines and sours available in bottles to-go, or to enjoy right at your table.

Below are descriptions of some of the beers that we intend to have on any day that you may happen in,

but there is always a wide variety on tap.

All of our beers are carefully crafted with locally-sourced and sustainable malt

grown and malted in North Carolina by Carolina Malt House.

WHISTLEBLOWER
Sour American Pale Wheat Ale
Brewed with 60% wheat malt and soured with a blend of 12 bacteria in the kettle.  Each release features a new variety of fruits introduced in secondary.

5.3% ABV / 18.6 IBU / 3.8 SRM / 3.7˚ Plato

THOMAS THE DANK ENGINE
Hazy IPA
Utilizes grains, yeast, and processes developed through years of experimentation to highlight the absolute essence in flavor and aroma of fruity New-World hops.

6.8% ABV / 15 IBU / 3.9 SRM / 3.1˚ Plato

 

Cornfield MeeT

Cream Ale

Brewed with flaked corn and honey malt in the pre-prohibition cream ale style (before they were watered down), this American classic style is a rarity that is full-flavored and embodies the pioneer spirit.

5.4% ABV / 12 IBU / 4.8 SRM / 2.8° Plato

LIGHT RAIL
American Blonde Ale

Offers a clean and approachable character in a light-bodied but fully satisfying brew. Delicate notes of wheat malt, dextrine malt, and Belma hops give this ale a distinct flavor that is at once familiar yet all its own.

4.5% ABV / 19 IBU / 2.9 SRM / 2˚ Plato

 

ABSOLUTE BLOCK
Irish Dry Stout
Beginning by replicating the traditional water profile of Dublin, Ireland, and then layering in roasted barley, black malt, and a dash of oatmeal, this stout is perfect for a craic on a soft day, singing the praises of Charlie Mopps.

KNUCKLETHROWER
West Coast IPA

With a light malt bill and copious hop additions of Eureka and Cascade, our West Coast IPA hearkens to the days when clean, bitter, resiny and grapefruity IPAs were the standard. Approachable yet powerful in flavor, this is the IPA for the true hophead. 7% ABV/86 IBU/2.6 SRM/1.8 degrees Plato

WEIZENBAHN
Bavarian Hefeweizen
A Bavarian water profile, a famous German weizen yeast strain, complex mashing and fermentation regimens, over 60% wheat malt in the grist, and the sum of years of study in this style yield a masterpiece.

6.0% ABV / 12 IBU / 3.5 SRM / 2˚ Plato

RED LED
Irish Red Ale
One of our most popular in-house beers. Combines a touch of toasty and nutty malt with earthy hop undertones for a classic, easy-drinking yet robust ale.

5.1% ABV / 21 IBU / 12.1 SRM / 2.8˚ Plato

 

SWALLOW THE BITTER PILS
German Pilsner
Our first year-round lager, this Northern German style pilsner is brewed with Carolina Malt House Pilsner and Great Western Dextrine malt. With a traditional multi-step mash and Magnum, Hallertau and Tettnanger hops, the result is a balanced, crisp, and quaffable Pils that fully adheres to the German tradition.

5.5% ABV / 27 IBU / 1.4 SRM / 1.3˚ Plato
